Slight crop to enhance the composition. Retouched in PSE6. 6/28/08
A tiny move right and lower would have better positioned the background bloom. Oh well, that's why we keep shooting.
Shot w/ EOS 1DMark III w/ off camera flash set at -2/3 EV. Ambient exposure at +2/3 EV. No PS of any kind. Absolutely thrilled so far with the camera after two weeks of occasional shooting.
This was the only bloom of this variety. I was fortunate to have the developing bloom in the background. 7/04/08 As shot...jpeg w/off camera flash at -2/3 EV
Very fortunate positioning of these blooms. Composition off a little...need separation between blooms, immature bloom needs a smidge of room against the edge of the frame. As shot. 7/04/08
Two views of the same rose bloom. I prefer this one as the scene is cleaner. Love the colors! 7/04/08 As shot...1dMarkIII is a dream to shoot!!!
two views of the same knock-out rose bloom. Although I prefer this view of the bloom, the foreground OOF leaves are distracting to me.
Two views of the same scene. I much prefer the next view which is a more desireable angle.
Two views of the same scene...I like this lower angle much better. Guessed at framing...too lazy, too old to lay down on the ground. Several shots, this one was right on!
