Blur is a result of slight wind during 1.3 second exposure.
In camera effect achieved by moving the camera slowly along an oblique plane during the exposure.
One bloom duplicated in camera with a very long exposure (30 sec) and camera rotated 180 degrees in mid exposure. Exposure time was acheived by use of the Singh-Ray variable ND filter set close to maximum reduction of light.
Original image is extra sharp throughout. The glow around the edges is a result of carefully applied Gaussian blur in Photoshop.
Late afternoon sunlight illuminated the edges...a reflector filled in the front side.
Calla lily reflected in a silver mylar tube wrapped around a wide angle lens....the kaliedoscope effect!!
Sunflower bloom reflected in mylar tube fashioned around a wide angle lens.
Inspired by Charles' workshop...this is a decorative piece in my great room sitting on some red and blue reflective paper
Another piece in my home...only adjusted levels in photoshop.
