Probably my favorite of the day...love the brilliant pink against the saturated green.
#2 favorite of the day...perfectly representative of blooms to be found throughout the garden.
So many beautiful lilies, but they never grow monotonous if you are shooting them.
Lots going on here...simpler is normally better but this vignette appealed to me as a representation of the complications in this corner of the pond.
Totally different look without a polarizer.
These lilies are just stunning with a little backlighting and careful exposure.
These yellow lilies just didn't do it for me in color...much better as b&w.
Poor composition as a horizontal, this image turned out OK with a crop and the addition of some gaussian blur in photoshop.
Water lilies??? Yes, with thanks to Charles Needle...setting the tripod at a 45 degree angle and rotating on a panning head yielded this perfectly smooth diagonal. I have tried this on a ball head and couldn't get it smooth. This is perfect.
Not a very good image but the off center swirl is very unusual. Occurred because I accidentally tilted the tripod while spinning the camera.
Horizon line of the lilies vs. the grass on shore is discernible if you look closely.
